Partners with CBI-USA to offer high school graduates and youth, including those who have benefited from our partnership with God Cares High School, an opportunity for further biblical and ministry training that coupled with a vocational and business/entrepreneurship training. Calvary Bible Institute (CBI) is a US based Bible Institute offering intensive ministry training to young people interested in pursuing vocational ministry. Founded by Pastor Jerel Hagerman, in Joshua Springs, CA, the desire to see this kind of opportunity for young people around the world grew. In 2022, Pastor Jerel partnered with pastor Craig and Calvary Chapel Entebbe to start CBI-Uganda.
Buyamba/God Cares High School - Kampala Uganda
The ShineOn!/Buyamba partnership enables children graduating from our Entebbe primary school, to qualify for a scholarship to gain admission to the highly rated God Cares High School, and the opportunities that come with a quality, Christ-centered, holistic, education. Buyamba, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, was founded in the U.S. in 1999, to support a national pastor in Uganda, Pastor Dongo’s efforts with Orphan Outreach in Uganda. Buyamba supported them through a child sponsorship program and provision of needed resources. As a result, God Cares Nursery and Primary School opened in 2002 with 97 children, in the basement of the church where The Dongo family continues to serve. Eventually a primary school of about 1500 children and a high school of 1800 children were built. Currently, Buyamba financially supports the education and care of over 1800 children through our sponsorship programs.
Hope For Restoration Initiative - Entebbe, Uganda
ShineOn! partners with Hope for Restoration Medical Mission (H4RI) to provide life-saving medical care and Christ-centered hope to vulnerable communities in Uganda, including sexually abused girls and remote island populations on Lake Victoria. H4RI medical clinic, started as a ministry outreach of the Calvary Chapel Entebbe, and eventually grew to be a vital organization partnering with the church. Through mobile clinics and targeted health initiatives, we deliver essential medical treatment, maternal care, and health education while sharing God’s love and offering emotional and spiritual support to those in need.With a holistic approach that addresses both physical healing and spiritual renewal, this mission empowers young mothers, strengthens families, and ensures access to compassionate, quality healthcare. Guided by faith and a commitment to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, we seek to bring lasting transformation—offering not just medical relief, but also restoration, dignity, and hope for a brighter future.
Abundant Blessing Community Outreach - Wakiso, Uganda
ShineOn! partners with Abundant Blessing Uganda to provide a practical Christ centered education to our CBI students that includes practical training in the areas of vocational farming and entrepreneurship. Abundant Blessing Ministries was started by two women from the US who initially traveled together to help children in Uganda. After six trips to Uganda, ministering to children and community women, they were frustrated with the financial irresponsibility of the ministries that they partnered with. During their visits they were able to identify a few young people who loved God and desired to minister to others in an honest, humble, loving and financially responsible way. They joined the four young bright Ugandan Christians and Abundant Blessing Ministries was born. Their vision is to use Christian teaching and principles to improve the quality of life for marginalized people of Uganda. They strive to look for opportunities to provide for physical needs and to use informal education to teach Christian principles and life skills to strengthen children, families and communities.
Mungu Athletic Academy - Entebbe, Uganda
ShineOn! partners with Mungu Academy in reaching and educating children at our primary school, and giving them hope for a prosperous future. Mungu acts as a bridge; connecting promising athletes with their dreams. Their aim is to raise these gifted youth up through soccer, education, and faith, giving them the best chance to play professional soccer all across the world. In return, this will enable them to help their communities and spread God’s love across the world.
