The Isaiah 61 project

2025 is a year of Rebuilding.  In 2005, God gave us the vision to “build the waste places” (Isaiah 58:10-12).  Now its 2025, and like Nehemiah going back to rebuild the broken down walls of Jerusalem, God has given us the vision and heart to come along side the ministry in  Entebbe as they “rebuild the old ruins” (Isaiah 61:4).  We are dubbing it “The Isaiah 61 project”.  The devastations of the past four years wreaked havoc on the physical aspects of the church, school, and medical center, and Bible Institute, resulting in the closure of the school, and necessitating a focused effort on Rebuilding and Refurbishing the grounds, buildings, and infrastructure; restoring their usability and effectiveness as a place of instruction and discipleship, and restoring their beauty to be an oasis of peace and life in the midst of a dark and chaotic community.  Our goal is to re-open the school to serve the community in January of 2026.

Rebuild the Primary School

Calvary Christian Academy was established in 2007 as a primary school to serve the underprivileged children in the poor communities of the church.  Until 2020, it was a thriving elementary school with 450 students providing an excellent education to children who would otherwise be overlooked.  Tragically, flooding of lake Victoria which started in 2020 and continued through 2023 flooded and destroyed much of the infrastructure and many of the buildings of the church and school, including the toilets, kitchen and dining room, along with much of the electrical, water, and sewerage infrastructure,  such that the school became in-operable.  In January of  2025, after much thought, the decision was taken to close the school for the period of one year, for the purpose of  restoring and  rebuilding the  school with the goal of  beginning afresh in the 2026 academic year.  Much rebuilding and renovation needs to be done.

Enhance Calvary Bible Institute

Calvary Bible Institute (CBI-Entebbe) is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Entebbe in partnership with Calvary Bible Institute in Yucca Valley, CA. It is an intensive discipleship, ministry and vocational training school for our Ugandan youth, many of whom have graduated from our school or one of our partner ministries.  This one year intensive ministry training and discipleship program, which includes practical vocational training in agriculture, animal husbandry, entrepreneurship and business, equips graduates from CBI to step into Christian work or church ministry, pursue pastoral ministry, and plant churches.  The campus is located on a remote and beautiful shore of Lake Victoria with easy access to Entebbe and Calvary Chapel Entebbe via boat or car. As is the case of the school, flooding damaged many buildings and infrastructure of the campus.  Financial help is required to finish building the “sea wall” which will finally protect the campus from future flooding.

Projects for 2025

• Security Fence extension - $15,000

Expand the Medical Outreach

Hope For Restoration Medical Outreach(H4RI) is the CCE church initiated medical outreach that reaches the local and hard to reach communities of Lake Victoria with medical help and the good news of the gospel. In 2024, over 9500 people were treated for various diseases including malaria, typhoid, bilharzia, dysentery, HIV/Aids, and other infections. The gospel was presented to every one of those people during the course of those outreaches, and all of them were counseled and prayed for. Over 450 of those people received Christ as their Savior. Over 10,000 children heard the gospel communicated in a way they could understand and received nutritional meals, participated in games, and received literature. MANY of these children received Christ as their Savior.

Projects for 2025
